Three young people who planned to climb a California peak with artificial intelligence (AI) got stuck in the mountains

              T hree young men from Northern California, in the United States, with no mountaineering experience, organized a climb to reach the summit of Mount Shasta, more than 4,200 meters high in the Rocky Mountains, with the help of the artificial intelligence Gemini. But the artificial intelligence assistant did not provide the correct data and the young men became stranded on the mountain.

The three young people, inexperienced in mountaineering but very enthusiastic, asked Gemini, Google’s chatbot, what is the best route to reach the summit of Mount Shasta, over 4,200 meters high in the Rocky Mountains. They also asked what equipment is suitable, what supplies are needed and how long the climb will take, reports Corriere della Sera . 

On the first day, the hikers approached the mountain and set up base camp at about 2,600 meters.
